Sculpted and Hand Painted Planters (a two-part workshop)

In this two-part workshop, participants will sculpt and hand paint their own terra cotta planter to take home. Using air dry clay, participants will create a 3D design on their plastic flower pot. In part 2 of the workshop, Artist Kristy McCarthy will guide participants through the painting of their planters, selecting the correct color scheme and applying polychrome painting techniques to create a beautiful, personalized planter.

Class will begin at the Art Cart, on the Fifth Avenue Terrace in front of the New York Public Library.
