Secrets of the Solar System with Marcus Dormena, AMNH

Ever wonder how astronomers explore the stars, planets, and galaxies far, far away? Learn all about light's role in the galaxy with hands-on activities led by a real space scientist. 

Marcus Dormena is a children’s science educator at the American Museum of Natural History and was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He has enjoyed teaching children the wonders of science for as long as he can remember; in his current role, he teaches kids from ages 2-11 subjects such as Animal Science, Astrophysics, Climate Science, and more.  Before becoming a science educator, he studied  Black Holes and Gravitational Lensing at the Museum of Natural History. Marcus graduated from The City College of New York with a degree in Physics, having first found a passion for Astrophysics at age 13.
