Author Events in 2026

While walking through Bryant Park, look for the yellow umbrellas along 42nd Street and you've found NYC's best resource for writing workshops, author appearances, and more literary events! 

This summer, we welcome back Stephen King, Ernest Hemingway, Jane Austen, and more of your favorite authors to the park. Our partner, Kinokuniya (find them on Sixth Avenue and 41st Street, right across from the park), sells books on site during events, so you can grab a book and get it signed by the visiting author. 

NEW this year, we are working with Casa Toscana to provide a tasty lunch for our lunchtime author series. You order ahead of time, and it's all waiting for you at the Reading Room. Sit, enjoy the book discussion, and meet fellow fans!
